Yeah it's simple: 1) Remove hopper lid. 2) Remove the three screws which hold the finger guard in (these also hold the hopper on). 3) Lift hopper straight off of grinder. (You can remove the stop screw on the bottom of the hopper so that in the future you can simply depress the locking tab and unscrew the entire hopper to remove the top burr.)

By the way, aside from a brief foray into a large, noisy, bad, Cuneil grinder, I had been using the bregant junior, which seems functional equivalent to the Rancilio Rocky. It was "adequate", but frustratingly difficult to dial in, due to the smaller diameter of the burrs and adjustment ring.

At 6-7 years you might find they are not very worn at all. The burrs are the same as used in the commercial MD40 grinder, so they've got a life of several hundred kilos of coffee. A good clean and check for alignment and shim with foil if needed might be all that is needed for now. Lots of guides to aligning flat burrs online.
